At this point, I'm convinced that US imploding internally would be the best thing for the rest of the world. The alternative is looking more and more like a world war. Collapse of the empire would also be the final nail in the coffin of global capitalism meaning that we'll actually have a path towards addressing climate change.
The report of the US demise is greatly exaggerated.
