Sure. What perks do you get from your Alum use?

I feel like the alum block followed by the aftershave should be enough

I agree with you. Except I do you one better. I submit that if you use an alcohol aftershave, the alum is redundant and doesn't offer any extra benefit, other than stinging skin and some extra dryness.

But the four you mentioned... that is definitely not standard. Likely folks who just like to buy stuff, or who watch too many videos of shave "influencers" who just want to sell stuff.

I ditched the Alum a long time ago. Witch Hazel or splash or balm ... can all stand on their own, if you want them to.

overpriced. Judging by the crappy shave I got, I can’t recommend it to anyone

The word Bixby is hated in my house. My wife's phone comes up at the wrong moments because of that app.. hates it.

Tusk is really up there for me, too. I like how flexible it is, and the kind of creaminess and slickness it provides is just what I like.

Especially if you're a bowl latherer, my channel has tons of boar experience. Esp with Zeniths and Semogues.

You can buy it blind with confidence if you buy direct from Blackland. If you don't like it, for any reason, Shane will take it back, no questions asked.

For me, the Blackbird is almost always to aggressive. If I throw a high-use blade into it, maybe 60 uses, then it has more of a chance.

But my rationale has always been that blade choice matters more at the edges of the razor spectrum. A razor at the edge of my aggression tolerance might work okay with just one or a few blades, but not work well with most.

And that applies on the other end as well. My Feather AS-D2 or 68 gap Game Changer have just one or two blades that work well in them, where most just don't cut well, due to the mild nature of the razors.

However, since most razors fall between those aggression types, with them, blade choice matters less, because the variations in blades is still within an acceptable range.

Is there a mobile way to access this?

I guess we need to maybe start a wiki, for these kinds of questions, right?
