Afghanistan is called the graveyard of empires for some reason. Osama bin Ladens idea was to lure the US into a conflict and war inside Afghanistan.

I think the reason why the US left behind alot of modern weapons in Afghanistan is probaly for a war or terrorist attacks against Russia/China from that region.

Recently terrorist attacks on chinese nationals increased in Afghanistan and Pakistan.

BEIRUT (AP) — An early morning Israeli airstrike killed three journalists as they slept at a guesthouse in southeast Lebanon on Friday, one of the deadliest attacks on the media since hostilities broke out across the border a year ago.

It was a rare airstrike on an area that has been used by the media as a base for covering the war.

After all what they have been doing for decades, people should really not wonder about anything anymore.

BEIRUT/JERUSALEM, Oct 10 (Reuters) - Israeli forces fired on two positions used by U.N. peacekeepers in southern Lebanon on Thursday and at another one on Wednesday, the U.N. force said, as Israel pressed its assault on Hezbollah and told Lebanese civilians not to return to homes in the south.

The UNIFIL force said two of its peacekeepers were injured in one of the incidents, when an Israeli tank fired at an observation tower at the force's main headquarters in Naqoura, hitting the tower and causing them to fall. There were no casualties in the other two incidents, a U.N. source said.

Jamal Khashoggi, a Saudi journalist and critic of the Saudi government, was murdered on October 2, 2018, inside the Saudi consulate in Istanbul, Turkey. He had gone there to obtain documents for his marriage. His death sparked international outrage, with evidence suggesting that he was killed by a team of Saudi agents sent from Riyadh. Investigations indicated that the operation had been ordered at high levels of the Saudi government, leading to widespread condemnation and strained relations between Saudi Arabia and several countries.

Dozens of neo-Nazis are fleeing Telegram and moving to a relatively unknown secret chat app that has received funding from Twitter founder Jack Dorsey.

In a report from the Institute for Strategic Dialogue published on Friday morning, researchers found that in the wake of the arrest of Telegram founder Pavel Durov and charges against leaders of the so-called Terrorgram Collective, dozens of extremist groups have moved to the app SimpleX Chat in recent weeks over fears that Telegram’s privacy policies expose them to being arrested. The Terrorgram Collective is a neo-Nazi propaganda network that calls for acolytes to target government officials, attack power stations, and murder people of color.

China’s demand that the public sector step up use of domestic semiconductors can best be seen within Huawei’s Qingyun L540 laptop.

The “safe and reliable” device features a self-designed processor and a Chinese-made operating system, having stripped out foreign-made components and software as much as possible.

The computer, which is being snapped up by governments and state groups across the country, has become the signature model of China’s localization campaign known as Xinchuang, or “IT application innovation.”

Taiwan and Hungary on Wednesday denied making pagers that exploded while being used by Hezbollah members in Lebanon, killing 12 people.

The New York Times, citing American and other anonymous officials, reported that Israel had inserted explosive material into a shipment of pagers from Taiwan's Gold Apollo.

Taiwanese prosecutors launched an investigation.

Gold Apollo denied producing the devices and instead pointed the finger at its Budapest-based partner BAC Consulting KFT.
