I think skiing and horse riding are the most normalized extreme sports out there. People think it's just a normal sport while in reality it's way more dangerous than for example sky diving.

I don't think it's valid. Using some software does not actually mean I support or agree with its creators. It's FOSS, the devs invest their time and give it out for free. By using this software I don't make it easier for them to spread their word. There's a lot of cases where I would say it's valid like. let's say Elon Musk is giving me a free Tesla. He lost money on it but me driving around in his car is still a form of promotion so I'm helping him sell his cars, make money and promote his opinions so I would not take it. But here using this software is totally personal matter. By installing it I don't promote it or provide founds to the authors. If they are assholes every person offended by them is free to decide no to use it. Posting all over the internet that they were not nice to you is just petty. All it does is create silly shitstorms and angry posts.
Also phaser.js is really good. It's been around for some time so it's very mature and stable, has great documentation and lot's of examples.
IMHO calling people out for everything easily turns into vicious witch haunts and doesn't really change anything. They weren't nice to you? Don't use their software. The whole world really doesn't need to know about each alleged asshole. Not shouting at every person I disagree with is not approving of anything.
Who cares about the community? If it's useful and works I will use it. It's not like I'm paying for it. If the community is toxic people will not contribute to the project. If they don't need contributors they can do whatever they like.
What happened to the driver?
You're right I guess. Also falling on the grinder would not be fun.
For me it was while hiking. It got dark but I wanted to find some nice camping spot so just kept walking. At one point the path got really narrow and pitch black on both sides but I never saw anything remotely dangerous in those mountains so I just kept walking. After some time it got a bit more vertical but I still couldn't see anything dangerous so I just kept traversing it. Then one hold broke off and I fell backwards, landed on a small ledge half a meter lower and just stopped. I decided it's getting silly so I just found small flat surface and slept there. In the morning I saw were I was and the slope where I almost fell had like 50 meters and was almost vertical. I really don't know but I think if I didn't stick the first small fall I wouldn't be able to stop until the very bottom. 50 m rolling down a rocky hill, alone, in the middle of no where. Yeah, I would probably be dead. So it was couple centimeters really.
Later I learned that this spot is pretty well known: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3zGhS3-KVuo
For everyone who thinks they were never that close it was probably while driving or crossing the street. It just takes one distracted driver and you're passing thousands of them.
Now that's really close.
Maternal death rate in US is insane and getting worse.
