Hooligans yelling slurls in a brawl is not the same as a lynching. Give it a rest.

What do you call singing for the murder of children and assaulting random locals and the media? Absolutely absurd victim mentality.

I'm from Canada, only been to Minneapolis once but absolutely loved the city. Would certainly consider moving there, but it being smack dab in the middle of buttfuck nowhere is so sad.

Good food man. One of the best designed cities in the U.S. imo.

Sparse, but underrated.

People hog the left lane and don't respect flashing to pass. Fuck is up with that? Some of the most inconsiderate, yet slow drivers in America.

While we're at it, Russian full scale invasion of Ukraine opened up akin to the shock and awe campaign in 2003 Iraq.

Of course it does not justify the invasion, but the world still remembers WMD's that weren't found. American leadership didint think those through too well.

The classic 4chan cars for under 5K chart still largely holds up today.

Take it with a grain of salt and perhaps bump the years up by a decade or so.

Personally i would take a 20 year old car with low milage that still has solid saftey features and a comfortable interior vs a newer car with better technology, but arguably worse saftey features and undoubtedly worse privacy.

Not to mention it's going to be cheaper to break some shit on an old car vs a brand new one that's loaded with sensors and computers. My 2 cents anyways.

That and ring doorbells being used as a big data harvesting point for the police.

The surveillance culture we have is so normalized now people don't even care that their security camera is more of a corporate livestream then a secure loop. But hey, how else an I gonna pust pictures of the guy stealing my 3rd Amazon package of the day.

" Siding with Yemen " is a bit rich. The writing is on the wall for the current regional war to expand into a proper world war. They don't want their infrastructure, be it shipping or oil related to be hit by missles.

It's one thing to carry out an air campaign halfway across the earth where your enemy cannot reach your homeland. It's a bit different when the war is in your backyard and not on the television.

Same reason why Saudi Arabia is so squeamish about this whole air raid campaign. Both nations host American bases and troops. They are the logical first targets for the Houthi's to attack. Signing off on this would be stepping foot into the ring as a meatshield, with little to gain from this charade.

Yemen has already been bombed back into the stone ages, infrastructure wise. More airstrikes will not break them.

If you read the wiki it details that police and soldiers took part in the abuse alike. Of course this doesn't happen with every U.N. deployment, but the bad blood and amnesty towards peacekeepers will not be easily forgotten by the locals.

The courts are probably saving everyone some trouble here.

Depends on how you see it. Last time U.N. peacekeepers were in Haiti it was a complete disaster. They were caught running child sex trafficking rings.

It was in fact, so prolific there is an entire wiki dedicated to it.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sexual_abuse_by_UN_peacekeepers

On the other hand, without some sort of outside intervention or help the status quo in Haiti will remain. I don't really think any of it is " good " so to speak but I struggle to imagine another U.N. mission will bring about fruitful results for anyone involved.

Bolton is an idiot.

Ok, and he still represents the warhawk/neocon type of thought in Washington.

How stupid you think he is doesn't really change how Trump already had his mind made up on leaving NATO. I'm no fan of NATO, I think it will collapse eventually. Trump just further cracked an already strained relationship.

I’m right. I’m just not far right and we have few politicians who are. Most of them have little to no power anyways.

Seems like Gaetz just got your speak of house pruned didn't he?

Its not like you have to be particularly far right to support Russia/ oppose arming Ukraine. " centrists " and Warhawks aside there isint too many vocal right wing voices supporting Ukraine.

Putin also didn’t realize how bad his army was and how effective the javelin is or how hard the Ukrainians would fight.

That situation would have been very different if Trump was in charge of the U.S.A when Russia rolled across the border.

He would have cut a deal with Russia at the expense of Ukranian territory like he did in Syria cutting a deal with Turkey.

The Russian's nearly captured Mykolaiv. Had the Ukranian's not received continued stinger and Jav support + other early equipment the situation could have been different. I don't like playing the alternative history game but I disagree with your assessment of Trump fully.

He would not have played his cards like the Biden admin did.

Trump just wanted everyone to spend more on the military. He wasn’t a threat to nato.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2022/03/04/bolton-says-trump-might-have-pulled-us-out-nato-if-he-had-been-reelected/

I’ve pondered when Putin goes away (he will at someone as we all do) will the next guy be worse or better.

The good go young. Putin will probably live to 100 like the bastard Kissinger if he's not killed or removed from presidency.

Anyways I would not recommend the assumption that the American right will not try and pull out of NATO. Being anti NATO is now a cornerstone for far right populist's in the West.

And of course, Russia cannot do all that much to NATO in its current from, but Putin was betting on the U.S. weakening NATO so he could take the baltics and force NATO into an institutional crisis. He just got unlucky that Trump fucked up so badly he couldn't get a second term, even with trying to steal the election.

He's also called for more blanket surveillance of Russian passport holders in the West.
