I'm at a wedding in Texas. The crowd is a pretty wide age range. This ~75 year old cowboy starts dancing with a 30 something woman. He's got a push broom mustache, denim shirt tucked into his wranglers, brown boots, and... Crazy moves! He's spinning her around, keeping a tight frame, and generally having a great time.

He was looking down most of the time, smiling a little, and just getting into the moves. He clearly put in a lot of work, and really enjoyed the act of dancing. He finished the song with a courteous goodbye, and the woman seemed like she had a great time.

This is a good wedding ๐Ÿ˜Š

Like all of us, boomers have something good to show, but rarely know what. One of the funniest memory with my dad was when on some celebration I put on a D'n'B track and we challenged each other in our footwork. All sweaty, smiling, laughing, and others were wathcing us as we drop our feet to high BPM in tact to the rhytm. This old man danced like he knew how, and I barely followed his energy.

The shame is - I can't recall, what track I put on. Probably Stompox but maybe something from Future Prophecies.

He knows. That could be the last time he gets to do that.

But hopefully not!

Well, tbh, that can be said for each of us, with anything we do.

So true. I'm in my 50s and can remember the last time I gave my kiddo a piggy-back ride, or read a book to them. Never again, till they have kids of their own, maybe

I have two little kids so I've hopefully got a couple more years of "uppy daddy" left. But I know I'm going to miss it one day very soon.

The days go slowly and the years go quickly
