Fuck that POS

[–] Ab_intra@lemmy.world 0 points 3 months ago (2 children)

It's a shame this clown is taken so seriously. I really wish Musk would just stop being so fucking vocal about everything he has no fucking clue about..

[–] Jackthelad@lemmy.world 0 points 3 months ago (5 children)

Is he taken seriously? Most of the stuff he says is ridiculed.

[–] Quill7513@slrpnk.net 0 points 3 months ago

But it is published and spread. That's the part that is truly damaging

[–] krimson@lemmy.world 0 points 3 months ago

He still has a substantial amount of sheep behind him unfortunately.

[–] treadful@lemmy.zip 0 points 3 months ago

Beware the echo chamber.

[–] Lautaro@lemmy.world 0 points 3 months ago

Far-right activists from Argentina praise everything he says. The current president constantly talks about him like some sort of deity. It's sickening.

My entire family and social group pays more attention to him than our prime minister. They get notifications on their phones anytime he tweets. When he tweets, all their phones light up and they drop everything they’re doing to check it and read it out loud/discuss it. I hate it.

I’m the only one around that I know of that doesn’t do this and it’s gotten me the nickname of “musk hater” simply because I don’t do that.

Because he is the owner of the very platform that helped to stir up the recent neofascism riots in the UK that led to POC being attacked and terrorized, and properties looted and burned. His tweets are seen by millions of people, and greatly contribute towards online extremism and polarization.

[–] tux0r@feddit.org 0 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Wait, people still use Twitter?

[–] SnotFlickerman@lemmy.blahaj.zone 0 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Yes, literally the right wing asshats in question here.

Just because its an echo chamber doesn't mean "no one uses it."

[–] Quill7513@slrpnk.net 0 points 3 months ago

There's a big difference between "no one" and "no one worth associating with", isn't there?

[–] Quill7513@slrpnk.net 0 points 3 months ago

People who want to be alive next year and are aware of how dangerous he is

[–] tlou3please@lemmy.world 0 points 3 months ago

I do. Comments like his are actively contributing towards the racist violent disorder taking place right now. It's disgusting.

[–] HootinNHollerin@lemmy.world 0 points 3 months ago

UK should not let him into the country ever again

[–] breadsmasher@lemmy.world 0 points 3 months ago

South African strokes chaos to keep his wealth and ego

[–] floofloof@lemmy.ca 0 points 3 months ago (3 children)

Elon Musk, who said in a post on X, formerly Twitter, that "civil war is inevitable" following unrest in the UK.

That's a very idiotic thing to say. He has no idea what the UK is like.

[–] aleph@lemm.ee 0 points 3 months ago

Being profoundly ignorant on a topic has never stopped him from tweeting about it.

[–] AlecSadler@sh.itjust.works 0 points 3 months ago

He has no idea what anything is like.

[–] technocrit@lemmy.dbzer0.com 0 points 3 months ago* (last edited 3 months ago)

Not to mention that Elon's side (fascism) would certainly lose. Just like WW2, South Africa, USA Civil War, etc.

It's actually good for humanity when people like Elon lose.

[–] SlopppyEngineer@lemmy.world 0 points 3 months ago

and then it'll be "eat the rich" time, and Musk is on the top of the menu.

[–] cupcakezealot@lemmy.blahaj.zone 0 points 3 months ago (1 children)

countries just need to grow a spine and ban twitter from operating in their countries.

[–] pewgar_seemsimandroid@lemmy.blahaj.zone 0 points 3 months ago (1 children)

the bbc has a mastodon instance, this article is coming from the bbc.

[–] EnderMB@lemmy.world 0 points 3 months ago

The BBC is partly at fault for continuously giving people like Farage a platform.
