It's ironic that the biggest cowards I have met are the only ones who call others "snowflakes". You'd certainly never hear that term being used in the rock climbing or mountaineering community, or any hobbies which involve risks (either social or physical).
I've only heard it being used by people on anonymous accounts on the internet, or people using it as a defence mechanism.
And the funny thing is, the ones I met, despite these people trying to act macho in front of others quite regularly, even elderly women I know long overtook them in the "macho department" (including one of them with parkinsons).. They also happen to be the nicest people you'll ever meet.
