SOTD 25.12.2023

  • Prep: head & face peeling
  • Razor: Stando Perun
  • Blade: BIC Chrome Platinum
  • Brush: RazoRock 400 Noir SE
  • Lather: Noble Otter - Neon Sun
  • Post Shave: Thayer's Aloe Vera toner; Natura Siberica ASB gel

The one Christmas day I had off... And I mostly spent it with housework and eating with my parents. Well, at least a luxury head shave was to be done:

It's been a while since I did any elaborate pre-shave routine. But today I tried a new peeling by Natura Siberica that I got along with the ASB gel. Actually, quite pleasant - but maybe too much exfoliation before a shave.

I also took my time to shave the dome and that made it a lot more enjoyable again. I lost a bit of time there, but in the end it was worth it. Neon Sun is still totally awesome to use. I also did some contours around my moustache and stubble beard which went really well with a little bit of lather I had left in the brush. My skin felt really slick and nourished after this shave; a testament to the good ingredients of the soap. I love this feeling when the towel almost slips off my head!

Hope everyone has a good and relaxed Christmas so far. Tomorrow I will work the early shift, then it's just two late shifts and that wraps it up at the old place. I'm kinda sentimental about it all, even though I know it was the right decision...
