things have come a long way in the last 5 years or so. i have a lot of bad things to say about Samsung software but updates/support is good now. that being said, I'm on a pixel as a primary device at the moment so YMMV

Well, I gave up after 2 phones and 1 tablet with no updates. Peak planned obsolescence seemed to be the way they ran their business and they lost me as a customer permanently. Their appliances are even worse.

When was that. I tried Samsung with the s5, s7 edge, and then went to one plus for awhile. The s5 and s7 edge were never great and we're laggy. I've now had an s21+ for over two years and the experience has been great. I'm pretty sure I'll get another 2 years out of this phone before I upgrade.
