I tried some F-Droid and Izzy apps and none of them support lyrics.

I suppose that VLC supported this but I didn't find how I can do it at least with audio files.

Personally, I prefer Vinyl Music Player as a Phonograph successor, and it's actively being developed unlike Phonograph Plus.

IIRC Phonograph Plus was on a temporary hiatus and has resumed with the last update two weeks ago.
