Rules: (Click to expand)

1. Be Civil.

Users are expected to be civil and inclusive towards one another at all times. Remember the person on the other side of the screen. Hate speech, racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia and other inflammatory language is prohibited.

2. Keep content related to wrestling.

Any content posted should at least be related to pro wrestling somehow.

3. Spoilers.

Do not spoil events for people. If an event is going on, please keep discussion contained to the/a discussion thread for 24h after the event. Do not post spoilers in titles during this period. Use the spoiler function when you need to, it's there for a reason.

4. Vague/Editorialized Title.

Please keep the titles of any articles you post clear, understandable, and indicative of what the article states within. It's ok to alter the title if the original is clickbait and confusing, or contains a spoiler like a debut that just occurred that day, but do not add your own thoughts to it.

5. Sexualized Content/'Plot'.

Please do not post any pornographic, 'creep shot', or similar adult-related material to the community (regardless of connection to wrestling). Wrestling content that involves sexualized content (in storylines/matches/promos) is fine, as well as photo's wrestlers post to their own social medias. Butt-shots you take with your cell phone at a house show aren't.

6. Banned Source(s).

Due not necessarily to the content of their reporting, but to their harassing and doxxing of users, the following news sources, journalists, and content creators are not permitted to be posted on SquaredCircle in any context - including direct links, articles, social media, and reports that cite only those sources:

  • WrestleVotes
  • RingSideNews
  • Brad Shepard
  • Billi Bhatti and "The Dirty Sheets"
  • Any post or article citing one of the above as a primary source.

It's almost time!

Last year with the Reddit exodus, the folks over at Canvas set up the Fediverses own version of /r/place from Reddit. (If you aren't familiar, it's that pixel placing game where you make weird collaborative art!)

This year's (the 2nd annual) Canvas will be going live this Friday morning. The url also shows a countdown to it's start to help keep track)

siv9939 has a design for us to try and make (which I'll also include in the comments below). The exact placement on the board we can talk over.

Also the board does expand over time if I recall correctly, so if anyone has any alternate images, or any small ones as well (in case the current image ends up being too big to implement right away), we still have 3.5 days to think things out!

Previous tweet - "So fun story… 6 months ago I asked to get my adrenal glands checked and blood work done to check hormone levels because of symptoms I had been having. Insurance would not approve the tests. Fast forward today, I had a CT with contrast to check a mass that was found accidentally during another test, that is either on my kidney or adrenal gland. Moral of the story… listen to your body."

["So here is the update. Yes it is a mass on my adrenal gland. Next step is meeting with an endocrinologist surgeon. It’s inconclusive at this point, if it is cancer. In other news, I ate French fries and a concrete mixer and I feel a little better."[(https://x.com/MariaLKanellis/status/1810401494027456752)

Unfortunate news out AEW with several injury updates this week.

An ROH regular is sidelined with an injury, as Cole Karter announced he'd undergone surgery on a broken arm. AEW sources noted that Karter would likely be out of action for a number of months, until the later part of the year or early 2025.

Karter had been performing on ROH TV for the last year, teaming with Griff Garrison. Most recently, they and Anthony Henry defeated Serpentico and The Infantry. Karter last appeared on AEW TV in March 2023 on AEW Dark. The last time he appeared on AEW cable TV was a December 2022 squash match.

Riho also sustained an injury during her AEW Collision match on Saturday. She was poised for a feud with Serena Deeb, but now there's no word on how long she could be sidelined. Riho hadn't appeared for AEW in four months ahead of the start of the feud.

Yuka Sakazaki, who was also planned for a Serena Deeb feud, has also been sidelined with an injury. She's been out of action since April.

At today's Stardom show, President Okada made the announcement that HANAKO will be doing on mini-excursion during the 5STAR season (as she herself isn't in it).

I wouldn't be surprised if we see her on ROH/AEW once or twice. Mina has not been announced for the 5STAR either (though a couple names are TBA so she could still), and a couple people mentioned Waka Tsukiyama may not be in it either. All 3 are in the same faction, so if Mina makes her way stateside for some shows I'd expect she may bring some friends with her.

2019

"So, you have some Championships for me?"

"Yes sir, I do! I was thinking that since we're a small unproven wrestling company, we could name one of our main championships the TNT championship!"

"Thats the name of the network!"

"It sure is, sir! And we're going to focus it around one of our founding wrestlers, whom we KNOW will never leave this promotion!"

"Great! Whats his name?"

"Cody."

"Cody.....cody........I don't see him on my list here....what's his last name?"

"Heeeyshutup. We're also thinking about a TBS Championship for the women, but that wouldn't make sense, as we have no shows on TBS."

"Well, not unless we bump your year round show for NHL hockey which is only on for 8 months a year."

"Well, if that does happen, we have the perfect idea for a long term champion. She's a tall woman named Jade Cargill. A long term project that we're going to invest heavily into with an undefeated streak. Like Goldberg!"

"Well with a push like that, I can't imagine her ever leaving AEW."

"Me Too."

"So is that it? Is that all the championships?"

"Well, there is another one, but I don't think you'd like it...."

"What is it?"

"It's called the FTW Championship. It was first introduced in the 90s, and surprisingly, no other company ever had any copyrights over it, so we're free to bring it back!"

"Oh, bringing back things from the 90s is TIGHT!"

"I thought you might think so, aaaanyways, I think that just about----"

"Haaaang on. This FTW Championship, won't it be hard to get past censors?"

"Actually it'll be super easy barely an inconvenience!"

"Oh really??"

"Yeah, I figure we just never mention the full name on air, and eventually we find a troll wrestler to call it For The Win world championship. Since those innitials have been memed anyways."

"What if we called it For The World championship instead?"

"Yeah, but we'd need a terrible person to pull something like that off....."

A serious accident occurred with Minoru Suzuki during Tenryu Project's main event today, and the match was canceled by the referee.

He was taken to an emergency hospital.

He was found to have no bleeding in his head or anywhere else, and was diagnosed with a concussion.

Suzuki himself (kayfabe): I'll report it for now. I did a CT scan and other tests, but there were no particular problems. I was kicked out of the hospital with a "If you're feeling fine, go home!" feeling. I remember everything. I even remember how I fell at the end. So there's no need to worry. For now, I'll just say one thing... "If I see you again, I'll beat you all up!"

GFM description below:

The Taskmaster needs your help! Wrestling legend Kevin Sullivan is facing a critical medical emergency and financial crisis.

On May 12th, 2024, while in Florida for autograph signings, Kevin suffered a devastating accident. He underwent emergency surgery that saved his leg and life but faced severe complications, including sepsis and encephalitis. This unforeseen catastrophe has placed an immense financial burden on his family, as Kevin has been in and out of consciousness in the ICU, far from home.

Despite these challenges, Kevin has shown incredible resilience. Months later, he is still fighting to regain his independence.

Even with an excellent insurance plan, the coverage is nearly exhausted due to the length of stay.

Kevin’s illustrious career in wrestling spans six decades, starting in the late sixties. He thrived in Championship Wrestling from Florida, collaborating with legends like Mike Graham and Eddie Graham. Kevin continued to impact the wrestling world with WCW and through various speaking engagements, including Vice TVs 'Tales from the Territories' and his weekly show on Conrad Thompson's network, 'Tuesday with the Taskmaster'.

This GoFundMe is set up to help cover the costs of:  -Continued hospital expenses  -Skilled nursing care  -Acute and subacute occupational and physical therapy  -Recurring medical expenses  -Transportation to return home to his family

Your support will help Kevin return to what he loves most: entertaining fans with his rich stories and vast knowledge of wrestling. Any contribution, big or small, will make a significant difference in Kevin’s recovery journey.

Thank you for your generosity and support.

The requested goal has been met, however anyone who wishes to donate regardless, please do.
